The Bluebell

Restaurant

About Us

Situated in the pretty market town of Henley-in-Arden, just outside Stratford upon Avon & South of Birmingham is the Bluebell freehold pub and restaurant. Passionately run by chef/owner Joe Adams, The Bluebell welcomes both drinkers and diners alike, holding 2 rosette awards and are currently in the Michelin guide. The cosy country feel of the place will instantly make you feel at home with the added luxury of a casual yet personal service from the front of house team.

Heading up the kitchen is chef owner Joe who has trained under michelin winner Andy Waters at Edmunds restaurant in Henley in Arden and later on with Simon Malin who was a head chef at the Bluebell 5 years ago. Joe then became head chef at the Fuzzy duck in Armscote working alongside Baylis & Harding. Whilst working here, he landed them a place in the Michelin guide and the Good Food guide. Joe aims to turn raw ingredients in to something special by using classical yet modern techniques, always using local and seasonal produce where possible even if he has to take a trip down to the market himself!

His sous chef Tom Moore has gathered some similar experience in such places, one of them working with Glynn Purnell at the Gherkin in London. Tom has some serious passion for food and the art of plating.

With regards to the wine list, there is a good selection of both new and old world. Ranging from a young, fresh Brazilian Pinot Grigio/Reisling blend to a more complex, seductive Burgundian Pouilly Fuisse, you're sure to find something to suit both your palette and your budget.

Joe is proud of his suppliers, all having the ability to source the best quailty ingredients. The Bluebell serves Tuesday through to Sunday lunch. A full a La Carte menu is offered daily alongside a weekly changing lunch menu. Afternoon teas are served between 2.30pm and 5pm when pre-booked.
